Erosion Control

Hydro-Plant can repair exposed land, enrich adverse soil and stabilize eroding slopes. Hydro-Plant specializes in applying a variety of erosion control products.

Being in business since 1979, we know how to exactly determine what types of erosion control work best for the land and that will best adapt to a particular environment. We use the most modern equipment and ensure timely service. Considering today’s storm water regulations, spray applied erosion control materials are an excellent solution to help control erosion during the California rainy season.

Services for erosion control include, but are not limited to:

The application of:
Flexible Fiber Matrix
Bonded Fiber Matrix (BFM)
Stabilized Fiber Matrix (SFM)
Mulch and Guar and other tackifiers
Straw Application with tackifiers

Flexible Fiber Matrix Wood fiber, high strength binders and degradable synthetic fibers form a strong high loft mat with good percolation. Top of the line for spray-on blankets. Long term up to one year. Seed can be added.
Bonded Fiber Matrix (BFM) Wood fiber mulch and high strength binders that form a strong mat while allowing good percolation (much like a liquid blanket). Once dry, the BFM helps hold soil in place for six to nine months. Seed can be added.
Stabilized Fiber Matrix Wood fiber and stabilized polyacrylamide emulsion. Works as a flocculent to control erosion. Short term. Seed can be added.
Mulch and Guar Wood fiber mulch and guar (soil binder). Short term erosion control on flatter areas and dust control. Seed can be added.

With today’s storm water regulations in mind, Hydro-Plant’s employees have been certified in the application of all spray applied erosion control materials.
Hydro-Plant has had over 30 years of experience applying
these materials to help control erosion
through unusually long, challenging and variable California rainy seasons.
